Osteocel is a cellular allograft including Mesenchymal stem cells. It is made to mimic the biological profile of autograft and contains cancellous bone, demineralized bone matrix. They are available in 1, 5, and 10cc formulations. It comes in 3 formulations:
Osteocel Plus: Contains native osteoprogenitor and mesenchymal stem cells. This is the original formulation of osteocel.
Osteocel Pro: Second generation formulation with better handling and easier preparation as material has better cohesion.
Osteocel Max: Newest formulation under the Globus banner with improved handling over the prior two and contain demineralized cortical fibers and cancellous chips. This creates a putty like handling with better cohesion and moldable. Contains average of 3 million cells per cc.
