The PlatFORM BG is a Moldable synthetic Bone Graft composed of a trio of 30% Bioactive Glass, 50% Carbonate Apatite, 20% type 1 collagen. They are supplied as strips and are intended to be hydrated with saline, BMA, blood etc.
The Bioactive glass has been shows through ion exchange to contribute to the deposition of Calcium with the help of the carbonate apatite.
This product is different from the PlatFORM CM (Collagen Matrix) in that it has contains Bioactive glass whereas PlatFORM CM contains onyl Carbonate Apatite and Type 1 collagen
